baby geese, published story

Okay so I slept most of Monday. Well, Monday morning, then I found out my short story, "Aamon is Watching has been released.  if you want please buy it. http://www.bookstogonow.com/aamon.html
I know a shameless promotion, but it is my blog.
On the way to work I passed a flock of baby Canadian Geese they were walking around exploring the world. They didn't have feathers yet, so I'd bet they hadn't been out of there nest very many times.  During the whole time I observed the babies, I noticed the momma geese keeping her eyes on me. Occasionally she'd jerk her head up and down as a warning.  I tried to tell her I meant no harm, but my goose is a little rusty.
Ive overslept the past two days, throwing my body and schedule out of wack. I'm glad to be getting a four day weekend.
Ahh first day of a long 4 day weekend was so nice. I slept in took the park and got some writing done at the library. I think the president of the United States is a clone, or I guess I should say presidents The one who campaigns who they've recently been letting out a bit more. (His handler's need to tell him it's not 2008 anymore.) Then you have the one who has been governing the last almost 4 years. I was asked to write an article offering writing advice for the Seattle Examiner website. I need to do that over the weekend. I'm not exactly sure what advice to offer though.< I'm thinking of going to see a movie today or tomorrow it's either that or a haircut. If you read this don't forget to get my story http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0084J7JNU Thank you for your support :)

Wow! Been one hell of a morning. The place I cash my checks opened an hosur late. Someone didn't show up to open. The lady who did show up was on time, so I couldn't even vent my frustration. Okay, I could have, but she didn't deserve it. Lady seemed pretty frustrated as it was. The funny thing is after I forced a smile and pretended the wait was no big deal, I kinda felt like smiling, and the wait was no big deal. My local save a lot is charging for the use of their shopping carts. It's just a quarter, but it just seems silly. If you like basketball, how about that clippers/grizzlies series? Every game right to the end I got my edits back for my story that was accepted by books to go now. I'm excited for it to come out. Ive never been paid for my writing, and it's stirring a lot of emotions knowing it's about to happen. I'm reading my friends self published novel When Darkness Comes This Way. There's a lot to like, and a lot to go hmmm about. Boo! NC for passing that stupid law banning gay marriage. The name of the wind, The kingkiller chronicle: Day one is a very fine book. It's by Patrick Rothfuss and if you like high fantasy, I strongly recommend you check it out. Pawn Stars is a pretty great show. I lost my prepaid credit card a couple weeks ago, so I sent for a replacement card. Now that card has not shown up. I'm out a few hundred dollars at the moment. Ugh. I worked Sunday. I had to get up extra early to go in, and I was really tired. The funny thing is that I will forget all about that come next week when I get the extra money on my check. That is all.

what's up

Hello possible reader, I'm sorry I've been away. Life's bee very twisty lately. I'm hoping for a little calm, so I can catch up on some things. I'm watching an infomercial on a butt work out. You can get a sexy butt in 60 days :) There is no war on women. That is all. I watched a movie called My Name is Kahn. I highly recommend it. Ive decided to go see a live play this year. I'm not sure which one, but id really like to attend something. Basketball playoffs started today. GO THUNDER. The president ate a dog? I need to stop hearing half the news. Support Indie creators, but make sure it's quality. :) I added a new chapter to my Dragon Wars novel. I'm on chapter 12. Wow can you believe it. One of the members of management where I work is returting today after a pretty massive heart attack and surgery. He's a pretty big asshole at the job sometimes , but its great that he's okay. I'm going to experiment a little with how I review books in my other blog. Some members of the occupy movement tried to blow up a bridge close to where I live.

My week

My week is starting with me having to get ready for work on a Sunday with very little sleep.  I just hope it is an easy day. I've decided to post this blog once a week no matter what I have. Over the weekend, I finished a short story. I need to revise it some, but I'm going to submit it to an alternative history anthology. My worst day ever story got rejected, but I submitted it again to a place that focuses more on humor pieces.  I think the story is pretty funny myself.  I wanted to submit more, but couldn't find any more story/market matches.
Okay a few words while I sit in the break room at work.  A cheers rerun is on the TV. I forgot about the show, but now I miss it.  It's funny how many things I enjoyed that now have no significance to me.
I'm about half way through my day.  I'm doing my best to stay busy.  It's snowing here. I believe when I get off I'm going to change the climax to my bunny story.
Settling down for lunch.  I just listened to a conversation about the world ending.  it was pretty interesting back and forth between a doomsday prophet, and a more whatever happens happens type.
I'm home now watching a Lakers and Heat basketball game. After the horrible things liberal commentators have said about various women, the left's "righteous " anger over Limbaugh's stupid comment is comical. The comment did upset me though. First it was wrong a woman should not be called that. Second, name calling automatically invalidates your argument in a way.

I woke up late on this Monday morning.  That sucked I had things I wanted to do this morning before work, and I have to go in an our early. I skipped a lot of my morning ritual to get to the library and do some writing. A week after the Chardon school shooting. It seems forgotten.
I'm laying in bed typing on my kindle fire. I had some thoughts about something earlier, but I forgot them. Work got a little hectic. To make a short story microscopic, I'll give y'all the last sentence. Then the doors blew open, and 25,000 lbs of flour went everywhere. The NCAA men's basketball tournament is coming up real soon I can't wait. Oh wow, I just remembered, my sister's birthday is today. It's kind of funny going by the super Tuesday polling places and seeing no one there. Republicans are few and far between where I live. My Worst Day Ever story got rejected again. It's March 7 now. Alexander Graham Bell patented the telephone today. Unexpected things are happenings at work today, and I'm taking care of it. Word of advice: be careful what you let people know you can do. My wifi is out at my house. I hope it's back on when I get off work. Ever since I accepted the fact I will never be a great writer, I've got a lot more out of my writing. I keep striving to get better, but knowing my Limitations is very liberating.

I am posting this blog today because I am enjoying a day off.

Bus driver commentary

I stepped on to the city bus and took my seat. The driver pulled away from the curb, and I assume continued a string of running commentary she'd been entertaining her passengers with for hours.

"He won't talk to you unless you got money. He thinks he's white."

"Some people would be happy to go to prison. Least there they get three meals a day."
(This one is sad cause it's true for some.)

"I saw a t shirt that says we should bomb Obama. That's wrong to talk about bombing people. They should bomb Bush."
(I scratched my head on that one.)

Things I'll be writing next week

These are the stories I'll be working on the week of Jan 29-Feb 4

My main focus will be on a yet to be named short story that focuses on a little boy whose dad just lost his job. My goal is to show how the sudden changes and extra stress effect and confuse him. I'fe had a little trouble with this one, but I think it's finally revealed its tone to me

2. The second one is for a short story anthology that's going to feature alternative history stories with a historical bent. I'm going to wait to reveal the subject, but I'll say it features rabbits

3. The almost final story is the 13th chapter of Dragon Wars. I think this one may take awhile. I want to dig deeper into the characters, introduce the magic (it has actually been there for awhile, but it's not obvious unless you know,) and I want to show the dragons are more dangerous and on their way.

I know what you're thinking. What did he mean by almost final? I've pulled out an old graphic novel story and started tinkering. I'll have more details later

Recent loves and hates

I thought it would be nice to share a few things I've bought or watched and let the world know if I loved them or hated them.

I recently finished watching 07Ghost (what's available on cruncyroll.) It was bad. The story was confusing and random with horrible pacing. The characters were stereotypes, and the big climatic battle of what I watched turned out to be an illusion that didn't really happen. 07 Ghost makes my hate list

I recently watched The Trip, a British comedy about a trip. It's, but the characters are real sort of along the same vein as Curb Your Enthusiasm. Though there is no real plot to speak of the characters, their banter, and interactions made it a pretty enjoyable movie. This is a movie I liked. (What? I can't love or hate everything :p)

Now to finish on a positive note, here is something I love my kindle fire. I know it's not a full blown tablet, but it runs great and does everything I need. Especially with the android market available. I just need to get more books on it. :)
